Edelweiss Brokerage Charges as you can see in the above table are quite competitive. The firm doesn’t charge any whopping amount as a brokerage rate which can reduce the profit margins of the traders drastically.

It has quite affordable brokerage rates for segments like the cash segment, and futures segments, and also a very cheap rate for the currency options segment which is only Rs.10 per lot.

However, for the equity options, it charges a whopping charge. It charges Rs.10 per lot which is very high compared to the market average. Most of the firms that charge a higher rate for this segment at least keep it within Rs.10 but it charges kind of exponentially for this segment.

For the delivery segment also, the charge is a little higher than the average rate that prevails in the market.

Before placing any trade, you can and should always check the brokerage of the trade to make your profit and loss assumptions correct. You can use the Edelweiss Brokerage calculator for calculating the brokerage on each of the trades that you are about to place.

As these charges are decided by the regulatory and administrative authorities, these charges are almost the same across the brokerage houses and thus, they do not change your expense list much because of your choice of the broking houses.

However, there are a few other charges which are not statutory or government-decided charges like the reactivation and account closing charges or the dematerialization charges. Thus, these charges vary like brokerage and account opening charges.

The reactivation charge is quite high in Edelweiss if you compare it with the market average. Apart from this, other charges are pretty reasonable and on par with the market.
